reflection on painting

Going to the Tate on the first day of the ART pathway almost instantly eliminated any doubt in my mind that I would be picking painting as a specialism, and I was thinking quite seriously about pursuing theatre and set design ... but when I think about it, if I did pick theatre and set, I would definitely spend the majority of my time missing painting/ being jealous of the painting specialism students.

The process of making a collage and producing a painting from it is something I never would've thought to do, and I loved it !! I really get now what they mean when they say within painting, the work you make informs really does inform the next thing you're gonna do.

This has been the specialism day that I have enjoyed the most. I really felt like I was in my element here, and although it's good to push myself out of my comfort zone (that's why I picked to do the diagnostic course), I feel like I can do that within a specialism I'm comfortable with. I'm really excited to carry on with this specialism !!
